It really pisses me off. I had a student, sixth grade, 11 years old, very tall and slim for her age. She knows the calorie counts of everything she eats, and won't participate in any social activity that is food related. Everybody on the faculty is aware of this, and everybody is "worried" about it, but nobody but me is willing it call it a disorder yet. She's been like this for two years and hasn't gotten any taller since she was nine. Of course, I can't bring it up, because if I do I'm the deluded fat lady. I stopped trying about 6 months ago.
